BASI Web Services Pilot — an end-to-end client delivery system
An end-to-end validation of the BASI Web Services delivery system: proposal, onboarding, production brief, staged build, QA, and documented handoff. The build was staged deliberately and not launched.
Challenge
- Website projects usually lose information between the sales conversation, onboarding, and the build.
- Approvals live in email, requirements arrive piecemeal, and nobody can say later exactly what was agreed or when.
Objectives
- Prove a client can move from enquiry to a production-ready build without information being lost.
- Make every approval and content submission verifiable after the fact.
- Keep sensitive information out of public surfaces at every step.
Approach
- A structured proposal experience with a durable, verifiable approval record bound to the exact released version.
- A guided onboarding questionnaire designed for how clients really work — in several sittings, on a phone, with interruptions.
- A production brief mapped section by section from verified answers, flagging contradictions instead of assuming.
Solution
- Proposal, approval, onboarding, and brief stages each produce a checkable artifact.
- Content submissions are stored as bounded parts with a completion envelope, so a long questionnaire cannot be silently truncated.
- The staged build was deployed privately for review with search indexing disabled.
Outcome
- The full workflow ran end to end: proposal, verified approval, verified questionnaire, production brief, staged build, QA, and documented handoff.
- Every approval and submission is reproducible from its stored record.
- The pilot build was intentionally kept as staging and was never launched publicly.
